Dear readers,
Hurricane Katrina caused destruction at a previously unimaginable scale, bringing out the best and worst of people. We are shocked and saddened by the losses of our fellow Americans, and heartened by their heroic efforts and generosity of many in rising to the challenge.
Trade show exhibitors and attendees are feeling the effects of this calamity, either because they live in the area or they have an upcoming show that was scheduled in New Orleans, ranked as the 5th largest convention city in the United States.
Below are some resources if you are an exhibitor living in or going to a show in the affected Gulf Coast region.

Rescheduled Dates & Venues For Upcoming Gulf Coast Events
For those of you who have upcoming events scheduled in the Gulf Coast region, TSEA is providing a listing of rescheduled dates. Some events have been cancelled, some moved to a new location, some rescheduled for later, and some have not yet announced what they will do.
While the city of New Orleans has cancelled all 55 events scheduled for the city’s Morial Convention Center through March 31, 2006, your event may still take place in another venue. Several events have moved to Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., and Orlando.
Your next show may be affected even if it is not in New Orleans because convention centers in Houston, Austin, and even Tuscon, are temporarily being used as shelters for Katrina evacuees. So for the next month’s worth of shows at least, be sure to confirm with your show organizer.

For Gulf Coast Skyline Clients
Miraculously, the Skyline Gulf Coast office in New Orleans, located just one block away from the besieged Morial Convention Center, was left virtually unharmed by the hurricane, flooding, and subsequent looting. With the exception of extensive personal property losses, all of their employees are safe and accounted for. We are grateful for the concern and offers of support they have received.
Customers or vendors who need to contact Skyline Gulf Coast, are asked to call John and Linda McKenzie at the company's interim headquarters. John and Linda will field all inquiries, process sales and rental orders and disseminate information to the appropriate Skyline Gulf Coast team members.
