What a show!
Our objective of providing an immersive Zen Experience that showcased our island and custom capabilities at EXHIBITORLIVE 2017 was achieved. We understand that trade show and event managers have a lot to manage, and things can become stressful very quickly on the show floor. This year we wanted to create a relaxing environment that welcomed attendees and left them feeling at ease. We tasked our internal creative agency, Skyline 360, with developing a theme that would leave exhibitors feeling calm and relaxed. In addition to hosting new and current clients, we were able to gather multiple leads from potential clients.
Early in the process, it was clear that a Zen Garden theme would translate into the environment we wanted to provide to show attendees.
Our exhibit designer, Brent Reierson, took the theme to heart and crafted a design filled with organic materials, real bamboo, river rock, sand, a platform, and spotlight for a bonsai tree and a digital Koi pond. Creating an environment like this in a 20×20 booth would be no easy task, however, all elements of the design were achieved through a mix of our modular structures and custom design elements, truly showing the range of capabilities Skyline can bring.
Skyline 360 carefully selected the appropriate graphic of an expansive tree that would be backlit to create a feeling of looking out into the forest and draw attendees in. They also created the digital content for our swimming koi fish to draw attendees in. We also enlisted the help of Skyline 360 for creating a microsite to create awareness about our presence at EXHIBITORLIVE and encourage visitors to register for an appointment at the show. Having a smaller, separate website allowed visitors to easily find information about the show without getting lost within our larger website.
To complete the Zen experience, our guests were served tea and Japanese treats. Several clients also had brief meetings with our designers and other representatives to discuss how Skyline could help them improve their trade show program. We also offered postcards with information about our educational offerings such as webinars, blog, and newsletters.
The custom shop at Skyline took on the challenge of building the Bonsai platform and the digital pond surround. They also crafted the seating furniture to ensure attendees had a place to rest their feet after walking the show hall. The custom shop also expertly arranged frames for the Shoji screens to add another element of Zen to the booth.
In addition to our 20×20 exhibit, we also had a smaller 10ft. exhibit where we showcased some of our newer portable products. By having a separate space we were able to avoid distraction from our Zen theme while still having solutions we could share with clients interested in our Portable line.
All of the hard work paid off when we became the recipients of the “Best of Show” Award. Exhibitor Media Group, the award-winning leader in trade show and corporate event marketing education, announced the winners of its EXHIBITORLIVE Best of Show and Buyers Choice Awards. Top honors were presented during EXHIBITORLIVE, the industry’s highest rated conference and exhibition for trade show and corporate event marketing.
“Leading companies choose EXHIBITORLIVE to launch their brand new products and services to the marketplace” commented John Pavek, chief marketing officer, Exhibitor Media Group. “Every year thousands of trade show and event professionals come to the Exhibit Hall to see and learn about, an outstanding array of fresh solutions. Our panel of attendee judges faced a tough challenge and did an admirable job selecting this year’s winners. Congratulations to all!”
