Skyline Houston Receives Brandy Award
May 10, 2017
Skyline Houston was recently honored with the prestigious Brandy Award. The award is given annually to the "best branded" Skyline dealer worldwide.
The award was granted based on excellence in several criteria, such as prominently and consistently using the Skyline trademark in marketing communications, office space design and signage, examples of branded exhibits at local trade shows and events, promotional materials, and electronic communications.
Adherence and excellence in these elements to create a comprehensive brand experience shows the dealer fully understands and leverages the importance of the Skyline Brand, and is a top Skyline Brand Ambassador.
The journey toward being the top Skyline Branded Dealer began in 2010 when the Skyline Houston facility was first installed. Previously, Skyline Houston was housed in a 17,500-square-foot facility across the highway from the current location, and a 30,000-square-foot warehouse seven minutes away. During the economic downturn of 2009, a long-term lease at rock bottom prices was negotiated with the aim of becoming world-class, with a facility to match.
What started as a bare concrete warehouse received a $750,000 makeover. A comprehensive and branded design of the space was considered from the very beginning, with a design team including Amy Mills (Designer) and Sherrie Woodeshick (Design Consultant) overseeing the vision of the project. The updated design called for new lobby elements, cabinetry, a waterfall and more, and was built by Julio Zamudio and James Bronikowski in the custom fabrication shop.
After construction, Skyline Houston was not content to rest on their laurels, keeping the showroom updated over the years by adding new products and occasionally reorganizing. The outdoor sign over the showroom entrance highlighted the best offerings of Skyline products, and was designed and installed by the Houston team.
Prior to the move, Skyline Houston was frequently perceived as the "pop-up company.” Now, Skyline Houston serves nearly 40 Fortune 1,000 clients and is routinely contracted to build large island exhibits. Skyline Houston has continued to grow, recently adding a 25,000-square-foot warehouse just six miles away.
