Face-to-face Marketing Expert to Speak in Greenville & Charleston

General Exhibiting Expertise Presentation and Veteran Exhibitor Facilitated Discussions Slated for Each Location
Bill Lauf Jr., a 32-year veteran of the trade show industry, will share vital trade show
marketing advice for both novices and veterans in Greenville and Charleston.
The events, hosted by Skyline Exhibits and Design, will take place on Wednesday, October 28th at the Marriott in Greenville and Thursday, October 29th at the Charleston Convention Center. The events are free and open to people with trade show marketing responsibilities. Pre-registration is required.
Each location will feature a morning session from 10-noon and an afternoon session from 1:30-4:00. Attendees are invited to join for lunch after the morning presentation, between sessions or prior to the afternoon presentation and discussion.
The morning session, “When I Grow Up, I Want to Be a…Trade Show Manager?” is a
fast-paced and highly entertaining two-hour seminar open to exhibitors with all levels
of experience. It covers general trade show planning, budgeting, promotion, staffing,
ROI and more. “It’s like a big face-to-face marketing book that fits into your pocket”
says Steve Hoffman, President of Skyline Exhibits and Design.
The afternoon offering is “The Changing Trends in Face-to-Face Marketing: Seminar
and Discussion for Veteran Exhibitors.” In addition to benefitting from the presentation, veteran exhibitors and/or those facing challenges with large exhibit programs will enjoy and participate in a facilitated peer-to-peer group discussion about how trade shows are moving into the 21st century.
“It amazes me,” says Lauf, “that there are over 210,000 unique trade shows and events listed annually around the world. This in spite of the common belief that a web-based world means less face-to-face contact. The key is not whether to use face-to-face, but how to use it in the digital age.”
