A pop-up store at America’s biggest shopping center, Mall of America, turned holiday spending into funds for the fight against pediatric cancer. Jumbo, backlit people photos and a circular hanging structure 10 feet across drew shoppers to the 20’-by-20’ stand.

“The exhibit was fantastic,” says Alex Meysman, national event director for Love Your Melon, a cause-based apparel brand. “The idea was to provide almost a brick-and-mortar store for us. The pictures on the towers are absolutely amazing. The images came out crisp and detailed.”

Love Your Melon and the Pinky Swear Foundation, which provides financial support to families with a child battling cancer, shared the booth to build awareness and pump sales. For each knit cap sold, Love Your Melon donated a cap to a child with cancer and a portion of the profits to Pinky Swear.

Renting the same custom modular components from Skyline for a second year, the two organizations chose to skin them with new graphics to promote Love You Melon on one side and Pinky Swear on the other.

The entire exhibit set up in less than two hours, which gave the organizations additional selling time on the first and last days. Skyline volunteers handled the installation and disassembly.

The mall has strict fire-safety regulations, so Skyline worked with the local fire marshal. Using select exhibit components along with the fabric used for Skyline WindScape® exhibit system, Skyline's design was approved easily.

“Skyline is the perfect vendor for us,” says Jenny Peters, director of marketing, Pinky Swear Foundation. “They go above and beyond — always.”
